You may remember my less-than-perfect experience with yoga in the past.
But a girl's got to move, and I've given up running - for now.
I'm all about seeing my friends, and keeping good connections going with lots of face time, so when my good pal expressed interest in yoga and asked if I was down - of course I immediately said yes! And in all honesty, I've been feeling more stressed, sleep is not as quality as it has been, and giving myself the space and time to relax seemed really important.
We checked out a new studio, Energy Yoga, last week after a random Google search listed the studio in its results.
The location was perfect - so incredibly central I couldn't understand how there'd be any zen-ness at this place. Right across the street from St. Paul's? Right smack dab in the middle of the super busy core of London? My interest was piqued.
And, people, the zen is well and alive at Energy! The studio is housed in a cavernous yet cosy hall of an old church. You walk through a peaceful courtyard to reach the entrance, and the courtyard itself is secluded and enclosed away from the bustle of the neighbourhood. They don't have a huge choice of classes, but the times are pretty perfect, with a daily 6:30pm class through the week.
Highly recommend and urge you to check it out if you're in the area.
Namaste!
